The Iranian billionaire, who has purchased a 49.9 per cent stake at the Blues, has made his first statement to fans since the Premier League ratified his investment in the club
New Everton shareholder Farhad Moshiri has vowed to back manager Roberto Martinez in the transfer market this summer.
The Iranian billionaire bought a 49.9 per cent stake in the Toffees two weeks ago and has spoken out for the first time since the Premier League approved his investment.
Moshiri has outlined plans to inject funds to also help Everton push ahead with plans to move into a new stadium, in a written statement which will appear in their match programme ahead of facing Chelsea in the FA Cup on Saturday.
The match will also be the first Moshiri attends in person since purchasing his stake in the club.
"I know a lot of you want to know what my plans are. There is much to be done and things for me to learn," the statement reads.
"But I can confirm that I have committed to providing additional funds for transfers and retaining our key players to ensure that we have a strong ore to build on for the future.
"We will also be looking at the best options in relation to our stadium. Goodison Park has served the club extremely well but we need to make sure the club has a suitable stage to perform on in the future. We will review the best options and how to finance."
Moshiri, a former stakeholder in Arsenal, will be part of a three-man hierarchy at Everton including other shareholders Bill Kenwright and Jon Woods.
