If there's one thing the MotoMan likes, it's British sports cars - those are his words, not ours. But he has yet to drive a McLaren, one of Britain's finest. Or had, we should say, because he's out to fix that with this latest video review. This episode puts the man behind the wheel of Woking's latest, which also happens to be its most affordable supercar yet. We're referring, of course, to the 570S coupe – the first model in the company's new Sports Series.

But it won't be the last: in fact, we've already seen the still-more accessible version dubbed the 540C, the more versatile and comfortable 570GT (our own review of which you can expect to see on these pages in due course), the 570S GT4 racing model, the 570S Sprint to follow, and there will be a convertible version as well.

As it stands, however, the 570S is the one to have, not only in the Sports Series, but of the entire McLaren range, we'd argue. It offers all the basic building blocks of more expensive McLarens, but at a more affordable price point. Of course “more affordable” is a relative term: the starting price is still over $187,000, but that's a fair bit less than the 650S or 675LT, let alone the million-dollar P1.

So how does it measure up? Watch the video below to find out, and the video below that for a more in-depth technical analysis.
