MultiChoice and ViacomCBS Networks Africa have announced the introduction of the Amharic (Ethiopian) language to Nick Jr., the educational, pre-school channel from Nickelodeon.

The introduction is in line with DStv’s ongoing efforts to enhance customers’ television viewing experience and delight them with local, relevant and fresh content that resonates with viewers, staying true to the kids and making the world a more playful place.

Available on DStv Channel 312 from Monday, June 22, 2020 at 11h00 (EAT), audiences can look forward to what will be an initially phased approach of the Amharic programming content line-up that will begin with the playful and helpful pups from Paw Patrol, the eager feathered cadets from Top Wing, problem solving Rusty Rivets and the little girl with a big heart, Abby Hatcher.

The aim of the 24-hour channel, partially broadcasting in Amharic, is to give active DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, and Family customers in Ethiopia more choice, while ensuring that each DStv package offers value to Ethiopian customers by giving them the best mix of channels at the right price.

MultiChoice said it remains devoted to delivering the best entertainment experience to its customers in Ethiopia – telling the best local and international stories, giving access to nail-biting sporting action and up-to-the-minute news, as well as leading international series, movies, documentaries and children’s entertainment.

Tune into DStv Channel 312, 22 June 2020, for the best and most recent Nick Jr. series content as DStv brings you Nick Jr. Amharic. Visit www.dstvafrica.com
