President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, declared that his emergence was made possible through a transparent electoral process ensured by advanced technological innovations.
While declaring open this year’s National Engineering Conference and Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in Akure, Ondo State, Buhari stated commitment of Nigerian engineers to technological advancement led to a transparent electoral process, which produced him as winner of the March 28 presidential election.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. David Lawal, Buhari stressed that achievements of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the conduct of the last general elections were results of the commitment of Nigerian engineers to transparent electoral process.
Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko and Founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, Chief Afe Babalola tasked Nigerian engineers to ensure professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
