NAF – helicopter
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Monday commenced aerial bombardments of bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara State.
The Commander of the 207 Quick Response Group of NAF, Group Capt. Caleb Olayera, disclosed this to journalists in Gusau.
He was talking after taking supply of two airplanes deployed for the operation.
Olayera described the operation as a part of a joint navy operation, involving NAF, military, police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to flush out the bandits.
Olayera mentioned two helipads had already been constructed by NAF for the Zamfara safety operation.
“We told you that the helipads will be used as the base for our fighter jets to neutralise any group of criminals and their hideouts,” he mentioned.
He assured that peace would quickly return to distressed communities in Zamfara with the graduation of the navy operation.
