DSS operatives deny lawmakers entry into National Assembly complex
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has raised the alarm that Nigeria’s democracy is under threat after the blockade of National Assembly by operatives of Department of State Services on Tuesday.
The situation was said to have led to the sack of the Director General of the DSS.
Reacting in a tweet, Wike said: “The assault on the National Assembly by security forces ordered by the APC Federal Government is condemnable and has the capacity to truncate the nation’s democracy.”
