Danny Ward has inked a new five-year-deal with Liverpool and will now join Huddersfield on a season-long loan.
Goal revealed on June 29 that the Wales international would be rewarded with a long-term contract on improved terms before leaving temporarily to play under Klopp's former assistant David Wagner.
The 23-year-old, who spent the first half of 2015-16 at Aberdeen before being recalled by Klopp in January, ousted Adam Bogdan as Simon Mignolet’s deputy.
Ward made two starts against Bournemouth and Swansea last season but with Loris Karius recruited this summer to rival the Belgian, the Wrexham-born gloveman will continue his development at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Liverpool are now assessing their options for a third-choice 'keeper. Ryan Fulton has secured a temporary switch to Chesterfield, while Wigan are interested in acquiring Bogdan.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Manninger, 39, is training with the club with a view to backing up Mignolet and Karius should Bogdan depart.
