Aston Villa and Newcastle have both shown an interest in signing Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost before the transfer window closes.
The Netherlands international has been enthusiastic in the past regarding a potential move to England, and Goal understands the Championship clubs are willing to spend big to secure his signing.
Villa are willing to pay around €10.5 million for 27-year-old, while Newcastle would be open to offering around €15m for his services.
Sunderland are also keen on Dost, but their interest is not as firm as either of the relegated clubs from last season.

It is not known whether Dost would be open to moving to the Championship, with Spanish football another option he would be willing to explore.
