image As stated by the budget submitted to the National Assembly, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has set aside N4.738 billion for the prosecution of various local, continental and international tournaments involving all the national teams, salaries of coaches and this year's NFF congress, excluding the Super Eagles engagements in the detailed breakdown. In the comprehensive budget breakdown, the federation submitted to both chambers of the National Assembly recently, the Glass House revealed that Women FIFA World Cup in Canada involving the Super Falcons would gulp N523.713 million, it would expend N414.612 million on the ongoing U-20 Africa Youth Championship in volving the Flying Eagles. Giving further breakdown of the estimated expenditure, the football federation revealed that it spent the sum of N212.510 million to prosecute the just ended 2015 Niger U-17 Youth Championship, adding that the participation of the Golden Eaglets in the U-17 FIFA World Youth Championship in Chile would gulp N329.485 million. Although bankrolling of the All Africa Games should be the responsibility of the National Sports Com mission (NSC), the football federation indicated in its annual financial budget estimate that it would spend N826.721 million to ensure the participation of both the female and male teams at the Games, indicating that while the male team will take N276.843 million, the expenses for the female stood at N274.939 million. The federation further revealed that the prosecution of the qualifiers for both teams would take exactly the same amount of N826.721 million to bring the grand total expenses for the participation of both teams to N1.653 billion. Other national teams that would benefit from the 4.738 billion estimates include both the female U-17 and U-20 female teams participating in the World Cup qualifiers, as the federation earmarked N391.857 million. The federation disclosed that the qualifiers and participation for CHAN, Beach soccer Eagles, Federations Cup, U-13 national team, coaches' salaries estimated at N255 million and the N42 million set aside for this year's NFF annual congress.
