Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole

The three tiers of government in the country have been urged to improve on the current state of health facilities and make health care delivery free for patients, irrespective of the nature of ailment in which they seek medical attention in the hospital.

President of Banner of Love International Outreach Incorporation, a non-profit organization, Deaconess F’Yemi Famaz, gave the charge in Lagos at a press briefing to unveil the Nigeria branch of the organization.

Famaz bemoaned a situation whereby Nigerians, particularly the less privileged, who are suffering from diseases such as cancer of various types, cardiovascular attack, kidney problem, asthma and others couldn’t access free medical care as a result of lack of state of the art medical equipment, forcing patients to seek cure abroad.

“Our organization is primarily created to help improve life by giving free education (Nursery-University), promote healthy life, decent shelter in new and renovated houses, as well as, give support to old people’s homes which will specially be built for poor and needy Nigerians for free.”
