It looks like America's Got Talent fans may to have to say goodbye to a beloved host.

Nick Cannon, 36, revealed that he doesn't see himself returning to the series for its next season due criticism from his bosses.

The ex-husband of Mariah Carey is upset with the executives at America's Got Talent after he joked about them during his comedy special on Friday.

As stated by a Monday report from TMZ, NBC execs were thinking about letting Nick go from AGT when he joked on his comedy special that the network doesn't want him to say certain things, including the n-word.

When he discovered how NBC reacted to this, he took to Facebook to write a detailed post on how this made him feel.

'I write this from a deeply saddened and dolorous mindset. After days of deliberating over some extremely disappointing news that I was being threatened by Executives because of a comedy special that was only intended to bring communities together, I was to be punished for a joke.'

The TV personality added that one of the reasons for the consideration of termination was because of 'breach of contract' for 'disparaging their brand.'

Nick said he needs to stand up for himself and do what he thinks is best.

'I find myself in a dark place having to make a decision that I wish I didn't have to, but as a man, an artist, and a voice for my community I will not be silenced, controlled or treated like a piece of property.'

'I have loved hosting America's Got Talent for the last 8 seasons, watching talented, brave and courageous Americans accomplish their dreams in front of millions has been nothing but a joy, and everybody has been a pleasure to work with but my soul won't allow me to be in business with corporations that attempt to frown on freedom of speech, censor artists and question cultural choices.'

While he wishes everybody the best, Nick remains unsure of where this leaves him in the future.

'As of lately I have even questioned if I want to even be apart of an industry who ultimately treats artists in this manner,' he continued in his post. 'Most of us don't realize that there are 6 major corporations that control 90 percent of media in America and the amount of minority executives is dismal.'

A previous report from TMZ alerted that NBC executives were willing to let Nick's joke roll off their shoulders, but the former host isn't having it.

He finished his Facebook post with a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King:

'"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter."'
