The Nigeria Immigration Service has issued guidelines for international passengers arriving or leaving the country through any of its international airports or borders.
Comptroller General of the agency Muhammad Babandede said this was necessary as the agency had noticed that some international travellers were beating clearance, especially at the airports.
And by the new arrangement, intending passengers, including Nigerians arriving or leaving the country, must pass through a recognised point of entry or exit.
Babandede, who made this known in a statement, reminded passengers to be in possession of an Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) passport or travel certificate for members of the sub-regional body in addition to a valid visa.
