He was a proud alumnus of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, in the United Kingdom, receiving his commission into the Nigerian Army in 1958. Adangba’s career trajectory saw him rise through the ranks to become the Director of Military Intelligence, a testament to his sharp intellect and strategic acumen. His significant role in the pivotal 1975 coup, which led to the ousting of General Yakubu Gowon and the ascension of Murtala Mohammed, cemented his place in Nigerian history.
