A Nigerian man, Freeman Osonuga, has been shortlisted as one of the lucky people to travel to space.
Osonuga was chosen through the Rising Star programme, which was launched at the One Young World Summit 2014 in Dublin, PM News reports.
The programme invites One Young World Ambassadors and outstanding members of the public (aged 18-35) to take on the trip of a lifetime.
If selected for the programme, the person will not only embark on an once-in-a-lifetime trip to space but will also be offered a three-year management contract.
Osonuga is a medicine and surgery graduate from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State. He is also a 2015 WIRED Innovation Fellow who will be speaking live on stage at the conference in October, London.
