
Fuji musician, King Sulaimon Alao ‘Malaika’ Adekunle has stated that Nigerian musicians must take a queue from Fela Anikulapo-Kuti's legacy if they want to be remembered like him.
The Imekun of Fuji revealed this on Thursday 15th October, 2015, during his performances at the 2015 Felabration Anniversary.
"everybody should take a queue from the Late Afro-Beat Legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti in as much as you are a musician in Nigeria. After many years Fela died, people are still celebrating him in a great deal. It shows that his intentions while alive were positive," Malaika stated.
Malaika performed for more tha one hour on stage dishing out songs from his latest album, Super Star, Proper Music, Recompense and Boshenjo songs he featured rising star rapper cum singer, Olamide. The Jagaban of Fuji music had fantastic time on stage along side his dancers.
Malaika also stated that Fuji musicians , and family of Fuji legend, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister are also gearing up to stage 'Barrybration', in order to celebrate the anniversary of the late Fuji music star who died years back.
He used the platform to introduce teaser from his next album, titled Original.
