Fuel Crisis

Nigerians, particularly social media users have welcomed the removal of fuel subsidy with shock and disbelief.

They wondered why President Muhammadu Buhari’s party, APC, which rejected the removal of subsidy during Goodluck Jonathan’s regime has eaten back its word.

Already, many of them have threatened to shutdown the nation in protest against the development, which has skyrocketed price of the product from N86 to N145 per litre.

They raised concerns that the latest hike in fuel price will surely affect everything, whereas the minimum wage still remains N18,000.

Famzn News sampled the feelings of Nigerians on social media and brings you their reactions uncut.

β€œ@sniyofinest: APC did not decieve Nigerians wit their change mantra. We failed to ask if it was positive change or negative change, enjoi it #fuelsubsidy”

β€œ@Ezebunaf4: It is #BADHABIT to say the removal of #FuelSubsidy during #GEJ was bad and removal of same #FuelSubsidy during GMB is good. #OccupyNigeria”

β€œ@naijatrumpet: Am sure GEJ will be laughing now, #FuelSubsidy no wonder they had @realFFK locked up ,they knew egbon go they vocal.”

β€œ@simileoluwa_89: So #fuelsubsidy has been removed, meanwhile minimum wage remains 18k. This is fantastically brutal…corruption just wanna start β˜Ίβ€.
