File: A Youth Corper Conducting Election

Professor Abdulganiyu Raji, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ekiti State, has warned individuals without Permanent Voter Cards to stay away from polling units during Saturday’s Ekiti governorship election.

Raji said the Independent National Electoral Commission provided enough time for Nigerians to be registered and collect their PVCs.

The INEC REC stated that although security operatives would be position strategically, no policeman would carry arm near the polling unit.

“INEC in Ekiti is fully prepared for the election. We have 913,334 voters registered, out of which 667,270 have collected their permanent voter cards.

“This means that 667,270 will vote in Saturday’s election,” he also said.
