Abdulmumin Jibrin, a member of the House of Representatives, dismissed claims by Kawu Baraje that the brand new PDP (nPDP) caucus within the ruling All Progressives Congress is being marginalised.

Baraje had publicly alleged final week that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration was not carrying those that joined the APC from the PDP alongside.

But the Kano lawmaker, who was a part of those that left the PDP for the now ruling party, stated each key member of the nPDP nominated a member of the APC National Working Committee (NWC).

According to him, if there was any marginalisation, it must be the opposite method round; nPDP members marginalising themselves.

“Every key member of the defunct nPDP has a stake in the APC. All the key members of the nPDP made nominations into the National Working Committee of the APC and these people are still serving there,” he stated.

“For occasion, Alhaji (Senator) Rabiu Kwankwaso nominated the treasurer, the governor of Sokoto (Magatarkada Wammako) nominated the nationwide vice chairman (North West), the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki nominated the publicity secretary, Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation nominated the nationwide youth chief.

“All these people are still there. The people talking about marginalisation seem to be confused. If there is any marginalisation, it is marginalisation of nPDP members by some leaders within the nPDP.”
