Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo and a few key PDP members met with some members of the 'New PDP'on Friday in Abuja.
Below are the names of those that attended the assembly that held on the 5 star lodge yesterday:
Retired General Ibrahim Babangida, IBB.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Former PDP Chairmen Ahmed Ali.
Senator Barnabas Gemade.
Chief Tony Anenih.
Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wamakko.
Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido.
Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
After the assembly, Obasanjo informed reporters that the assembly was known as with the intention to cease the party from collapsing.
"Gentlemen of the press, I thanks for exercising endurance. Let me level out, you may have seen 5 of us as choose elders of the party. We have taken it upon ourselves to stop the worst from taking place to our pricey party."
"Two of our members are overseas and couldn't be a part of us at the moment. They are Solomon Lar and Alex Ekwueme and we're carrying them alongside."
"Regardless of the studies your are listening to, it suffice to say that household dispute throughout the PDP, which we wish to stem the tide of going to the brink. And I wish to say that we have now met with the 2 aspect of the household and we have now listened to them," Obansanjo concluded.
