Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described the lifetime of the late pioneer Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Justice Mustapha Akanbi, as one that's stuffed with honesty and integrity.
Obasanjo acknowledged that the previous anti-graft company’s boss was one real patriot who radiated domitly inside our nationwide house and past, including that Akanbi can be vastly missed.
This was contained in a condolence letter written to the eldest youngster, Akeem in Ilorin, Kwara state, a copy of which was made obtainable to journalists on Sunday in Abeokuta by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi
Obasanjo additional also stated that the late Justice Akanbi was a distinguished Nigerian, an icon, a paragon of rightness and rectitude, whose life was devoted totally to the service of his nation.
The condolence letter reads partially, “It is with a grieving coronary heart, however with obedience to the desire of the Almighty that I write to commiserate with you and different members of your loved ones over the painful demise of your loving father, our most revered Hon. Justice Mustapha Adebayo Akanbi.
“News of his death today, Sunday, June 3, 2018, came to me as a jarring shock far away in Dubai. But we mortals can never question the designs of the Almighty Allah.”
