In a latest interview with reporters, Eedris talked about how he grew to become a famous person... making reference to his hit track "Jagajaga" and former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo's response to his track.
Reflecting on his previous, the artiste, who has been within the recreation for 20 years, says he's glad that he yielded to the decision.
"I might have made more cash from music if I sing praises. But if you're a public officer who's accountable, I'll positively reward you. With music, I've met all my wants and gained worldwide recognition."
"I've the authority to stroll as much as any governor's door and get immediate recognition. They will say, 'Ah, Eedris Abdulkareem, Obasanjo’s pal, Jaga jaga'. It has opened many doorways for me and I haven't got to promote my soul to the satan or turn out to be a member of illuminati to achieve success," he says amid laughter.
When requested to touch upon the excessive level of his profession, his face lights up in a smile...
"The greatest to ever occur to me was former President Olusegun Obasanjo speaking again at me, calling me a mere avenue boy whose father just isn't identified. The president took me to the subsequent degree, I grew to become a tremendous star, and now folks know me, as a result of Obasanjo put me in his degree."
