Odell Beckham Jr. was carted away from practice after an apparent left ankle injury on Sunday morning.
In 11-on-11 drills he and cornerback Janoris Jenkins got tangled up going for a deep pass from Eli Manning and Beckham went down hard.
Silence covered the practice as Beckham, clearly in pain, slowly got to his feet and limped to the end zone.
“Get up, 13! Get up!” one of the other Giants yelled, speaking, no doubt, on behalf of the entire organization. Trainers swarmed him and seemed to be focused on his left ankle.
Eventually Beckham trotted to the sideline, did some jogging, and rejoined his teammates on the field. He did not, however, participate in any further drills, was noticeably limping and kept flexing and rubbing the area just above his left ankle.
Finally, the medical staff carted him from the field house to the training room.
