Premier League champions Leicester City have secured their third signing of the summer after completing a move for Nice midfielder Nampalys Mendy.
The 24-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Foxes, though his move remains subject to approval from the Football Association and the Premier League.
The Foxes had been linked to the former Monaco player throughout the summer transfer window and have now reunited him with Claudio Ranieri as he follows Ron-Robert Zieler and Luis Hernandez in joining the King Power Stadium outfit.
Mendy joins Leicester after playing a crucial role in Nice's fourth-placed finish in Ligue 1 and spoke of his delight at moving to the Premier League.
"I am very happy to come to Leicester City. The team have just enjoyed a great season and it’s excellent to be here," he told the club's official website.
"For me I want to play at this level. I like the Premier League and I follow every match. It’s fast and physical and I want to impose myself on the league.
"I know the coach, I know his mentality and I know his philosophy. When he speaks it’s direct and clear and for me I like this."
