The 24-year-old only joined the Spanish club last summer but has played just 47 minutes in La Liga this season
Sevilla have confirmed that Gael Kakuta has completed his move to Hebei China Fortune for a reported fee of €5 million.
The 24-year-old joined the Spanish club last summer but has played just 47 minutes in La Liga this season. Sevilla were also required to pay a compensation fee, believed to be in the region of €3.5m, to Chelsea, because the Frenchman was under the age of 34.
Kakuta joins Stephane Mbia and Gervinho at Hebei China Fortune, who have been promoted to the Chinese Super League ahead of the new season.
In 2007, Kakuta had been tipped to become Chelsea's next big star after impressing in the academy but he was unable to secure a regular role in the first team and was subsequently loaned out to Fulham, Bolton, Dijon, Vitesse, Lazio and Rayo Vallecano.
