Former Imo Governor of Imo Ikedi Ohakim has claimed he received the 2015 governorship election within the state.
Ohakim was reacting to claims by Governor Okorocha that Imo individuals hate him (Ohakim) and wished him out of workplace.
In a press assertion on Thursday, Ohakim stated, βOkorocha doesn't like the reality. Going by the 2011 governorship election, Imo individuals liked Ohakim, a lot. They voted for him [Ohakim] and he received that election.
βDonβt neglect that the election was militarized. It additionally witnessed the kidnapping of the returning officer from Ohaji/Egbema native authorities, which had 34,000 votes.
βDonβt neglect Ohaji/Egbema, stays a PDP stronghold and the votes had been Ohakimβs votes. The votes from Oguta LGA, stays inconclusive.
βThey did not allow it to be counted. If you put all these together, you will find out that Imo people did not reject Ohakim. Today, Imo people now know that Ohakim is a saint compared to Okorocha.β
