Governor Rochas Okorocha
Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha on Sunday mentioned latest killings in Plateau and Zamfara States had nothing to do with spiritual conflict.
The governor, who admitted that Nigeria was going through severe safety setback, referred to as for peace amongst rival teams.
He was talking at the 10th Episcopal Anniversary of the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Imo State, His Lordship, Most Rev. Augustine Ukwuoma on the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Orlu.
“Initially, I thought that what was going on in some parts of the country was a religious war; but the Plateau and Zamfara killings have shown that what we have in our hands is beyond religious killings,” Okorocha mentioned.
“In these killings Muslims have been killing Muslims and Christians killing Christians. They kill harmless residents each younger and outdated. And for us Christians, that is the time to wish for peace and love for each other.
“Some people have lost their sense of value for lives with the rate at which blood-letting is going on in this Country.”
