Nigeria needs a #NotTooPoorToRun bill to discourage money politics in the country, a former presidential aide Reno Omokri has suggested.
Omokri stated that since the country passed the #NotTooYoungToRun bill earlier this year, it now needs the #NoTooPoorToRun bill.
He wondered how many Nigerians, without corruption, can afford the nomination form fees set by many parties.
“At ₦55 million for its Presidential nomination form, the @OfficialAPCNg has shown that Nigeria needs a #NotTooPoorToRun Bill and not just a #NotTooYoungToRun Bill,” he posted on Twitter.
“How many people can afford such an amount without corruption? This money politics must end in Nigeria #RenosDarts.”
