A former presidential aide Reno Omokri has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption drive is a mere act of “hypocrisy.”

Former Abia State Governor Orji Kalu had on Wednesday, alongside some governors, visited Buhari in his Daura hometown of Katsina State.

Kalu was also conferred with the traditional title of “Danbaiwan-Hausa” by the Emir of Daura Umar Faruq for his efforts toward the development of Abia and Nigeria at large.

Reacting to the development, Omokri lashed out on Buhari for vowing to jail looters while still condoning Kalu who is being tried over corruption allegations.

“Look at Buhari HAIL Orji Kalu, a man being prosecuted by @officialEFCC for looting,” he posted on Twitter.

“The is the same Buhari who on Sunday said he will JAIL all looters. Not only did they HAIL one of the men they said they will JAIL, they turbaned him. This is the height of hypocrisy #RenosDarts.”
