Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s precedent of not obeying court injunctions may hunt him in the future.
Buhari was this week elected as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
However, Omokri said Buhari has a precedent for not obeying courts injunctions like those given by the regional body.
He said the president only preaches what he does not practice and likened him to a clergyman who doesn’t obey the injunctions of his sacred book.
“An ECOWAS Chairman that doesn’t obey ECOWAS court rulings is like a pastor that doesn’t obey teachings of The Holy Bible or an imam that doesn’t believe the words of the noble Quran,” Omokri posted on Twitter.
“@Mbuhari has set a precedent that may be used against him and other leaders when they leave power.”
