Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s comment on illegal migration is insensitive.
Buhari had during the visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, noted that he is not concerned about those who go on the journey to Europe.
However, Omokri in a tweet has faulted Buhari over the statement.
He said the country’s situation made Nigerians seek for greener pastures outside the country.
“@MBuhari’s comments on illegal migrants were insensitive. Many are not migrating because they want to,” Omokri wrote.
“Some want to farm but herdsmen won’t let them. Others want to trade, but SARS frustrates them. Migration is a last resort and Buhari insults them! He is out of touch #RenosDarts
