Medical doctors under aegis of Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) of the Federal Medical Centre, Owo chapter, Ondo State, on Wednesday, August 12 embarked on a 3-day warning strike.
The association is protesting over what they termed 'victimisation of the resident doctors by Dr. Adediran Kolajo the interim administrator of the hospital'.
Nigerian Tribune reports that the doctors stated the strike had became necessary after the authorities of the hospital failed to respond to the allegations levelled against the new administrator of the hospital.
The doctors, in a statement jointly signed by Isaiah Oke the ARD president, and Ganiyu Ahmed, general secretary, raised 11 allegations against the management.
Based on what was gathered,, the hospital's authority issued queries to members of the executive of the association instead of responding to the allegations.
The association however has stated it is willing to dialogue with the management of the hospital but threatened to embark on an indefinite strike if the management fails to grant its request.
