To further curb the spread of Lassa fever across the country, a non-governmental organization, Charity and Development Initiative, recently donated several packs of Lassa fever enlightenment leaflets to the Lagos State government through the State Ministry of Health.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the state government, the Director, Disease Control, Dr Eniola Erinosho, who represented the Commissioner for Health thanked the donor and promised that the items would be put to proper use.
The National Co-ordinator, Mrs. Bolatito Obaigbo said the desire for a proactive approach to curb epidemics and other life- threatening diseases prompted the initiative.
