The Chief Whip of the Senate, and previous Abia State governor, Orji Kalu, says he was imprisoned because there were people worried that he would be Nigeria’s president in 2023
Mr Kalu stated this in a statement on Tuesday, and also added that going to prison was a good experience for him.
“People think I'm ashamed to have gone to prison. I'm not, and I don’t blame them because they don’t know my relationship with God. Joseph went to prison, even previous President Olusegun Obasanjo went to prison. My going to prison is part of my life script, and I'm thankful God allowed it”, he said.
