
The governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has directed the state's Head of Service, Mr Jerry Obazele, to proceed on retirement.
The retirement of the officials was revealed today in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Peter Okhiria.
As stated by the statement, βthe Permanent Secretary, Information and Communication Technology Agency, Mr Dan Aigbavboa, has been retired, while βthe Director Software, Edo State Information and Communication Technology Agency, Mr Toju Onaiwu, has been suspendedβ.
βAll members of the Edo State Pensions Board are hereby directed to report to the State Civil Service Commission for proper investigation and disciplinary action in accordance with the Civil Service Rules.
βMembers of the Pensions Board are advised to steer clear of their offices until investigations are concludedβ the statement read.
Okhiria also hinted that Governor Oshiomhole had appointed Mrs Gladys Idahor as the new Head of Service in Edo State.
