The Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, commended the military for ensuring that the Boko Haram insurgents no longer hold any territory in Nigeria.
Speaking at a special church service on Sunday to mark the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Abuja, the Vice President stated the Federal Government was confident that the military would not only win the war against the insurgents but would also continue to ensure the protection of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
Professor Osinbajo expressed confidence that the war against the terrorist group would be won in all ramification.
While giving his sermon at the service, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the northeast, Bishop David Bakare, urged the government to set aside 10% of recovered funds of corrupt public officers for the families of soldiers who have paid the supreme price in the fight against insurgency.
