Vice President Yemi Osinbajo
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Friday, inspected the Apapa gridlock caused by trucks heading to the nation’s premier port.
He arrived in the company of the state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, the Minister of Transport and others, to inspect the situation of things.
The visit comes days after residents plying the route have had to encounter continued traffic as some trucks and tankers parked on the road, took over major lanes of the highway.
But prior to the Vice President’s visit, the Lagos State Government had also sympathised with the residents and commuters
It also urged the Federal Ministry of Works, Power and Housing to consider shifting the proposed closure dates for the Third Mainland Bridge to a later date to avoid compounding the traffic situation.
