For failing to come forward to substantiate the allegations contained in her petition against Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, the House of Assembly ad-hoc committee set up to investigate the petition on Wednesday asked the State Judicial Commission to sanction Justice Folahanmi Oloyede.
The House committee also dismissed the petition for want of evidence and defence.
Justice Oloyede had sent her lawyer to appear before the House panel last week during which the lawyer requested for a copy of the response of Governor Aregbesola.
The panel had told the lawyer it was not obliged to give Oloyede a copy of the petition.
The chairman of the ad-hoc committee, Engr Akintunde Adegboye, who spoke on behaf of the ad hoc panel said Justice Oloyede has shown that she cannot stand by her allegations, hence her decision not to come forward to defend the issues.
It would be recalled that the Economic and Crimes Commission hd also invited Justice Oloyede to come froward to substantiate the allegations but declined.
Legal luminaries such as Prof Itse Sagay and Mrs. Folake Solanke, SAN had on Monday asked the National Judicial Council to dismiss the judge for what they called breach of ethics of her job.
