Alex Otti on Thursday picked nomination form of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to contest for the Abia State gubernatorial seat in 2019.
Otti was APGA’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 general election, loosing out to the incumbent governor Okezie Ikpeazu who contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Otti arrived the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Grand Alliance at 1.30 pm on Thursday and was received by the National Secretary of the party, Labaran Maku.
He went into a closed-door meeting with Maku for over an hour after picking the form.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, he vowed to recover the 2015 mandate which “he narrowly lost” in court to Ikpeazu.
He said, “I won my election as governor of Abia State in 2015, but due to legal contingencies, I lost the case at the Supreme Court.
“My supporters in Abia State are much ready to vote me again in 2019 and I am more than ready to unseat Ikpeazu and recover my mandate”, Otti said.
