Popular Beat FM OAP, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi has jumped on Twitter to share her experience at a hospital as she reacted to a conversation about medical companies asking for money before treating patients.
Gbemi believes the primary focus should be on treating patients first, before money.
According to her, she was recently admitted to a hospital, and as they were setting the drip, she saw a P.O.S in her room for a 200K deposit to be made, despite the fact that she was in severe pain.
She added that the hospitals should calm down and save lives before anything else.
Her words, “You go to a hospital in pain and while receiving treatment – they bring the bill for registration . Damn! Can you chill ? They want to admit you and ask you to drop 150k deposit . Kilode ???
“I remember being admitted at a hospital the previous year, while they were setting the drip (I.V) , they brought the P.O.S into the room and asked for a 200k deposit. I was in tons of pain and bleeding.”
