The ousted boss of the Department of State Services (DSS) Lawal Daura is not in police custody, former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has said.
Daura was sacked on Tuesday after operatives of the DSS invaded the National Assembly.
Fani-Kayode in a tweet on Wednesday stated that contrary to reports, Daura was never humiliated by the sack.
“I can confirm that it is not true that Daura was taken to SARS. It is not true that he is in police custody,” the former minister said.
“It is not true that he has been disgraced and humiliated. I can also confirm that something frightful is brewing in our country and we must all be prayerful and vigilant.
