An overenthusiastic owner of  a £215,000 (equal to $314,770) McLaren 650S managed to set a new negative record when he crashed into a tree only 10 minutes after taking delivery of the supercar.
Details on how the incident occurred haven’t been released yet, but we suspect it might be a mix of wet road, speed, rear-wheel drive and the 650 PS (641 HP) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque, coming from the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that propels the 650S from naught to sixty (96 km/h) in less than 3 seconds and up to a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h).

The collision left the supercar's front end demolished with bits of the carbon fiber bodywork  scattered on the grass and pavement.

The Telegraph writes that nobody was injured in the accident that took place last Wednesday and even if the owner was reportedly seen by neighbors celebrating with a bottle champagne as the 650S was being delivered at his house, the Ess3x police is conducting an investigation to determine who was driving it at the time.
