A pastor of Christ Command Mission in Igboeze Onicha, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, David Ibe, has been arrested by the state Police Command for allegedly raping a 23-year-old girl, Nnennaya Okute.
The 29-year-old pastor reportedly lured the victim into an uncompleted building at about 9:30pm on Monday and raped her.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP George Okafor, who confirmed the incident, told newsmen that Ibe confessed to the crime during interrogation and said claimed he invested some money on the girl and that the girl refused to marry him.
Okafor said, “He is an impostor; he’s one of those who claim to be pastors but dent the image of God.
“They are the horrible types that pretend to be human beings and you will never know that you are actually dinning with the devil,” the CP said, adding that the ‘pastor’ will be charged to court soon.
