The West Ham midfielder came out on top of a star-studded field to be named the capital's top performer in 2015-16, with Mauricio Pochettino taking the manager's prize
Dimitri Payet has beaten the likes of Mesut Ozil and Willian to the Premier League Player of the Year prize at the London Football Awards.
The West Ham midfielder has scored seven goals and provided six assists in the English top flight this season since joining the Hammers from Marseille in the summer.
Payet was named the best player in the capital for 2015-16 over Arsenal playmaker Ozil, Chelsea winger Willian, Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Odion Ighalo of Watford.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was named the Manager of the Year, with Arsene Wenger, Slaven Bilic and Quique Sanchez Flores also nominated for the coaching award. The Women's Player of the Year category was dominated by Arsenal and Chelsea players, with the Blues' Eniola Aluko triumphing over Katie Chapman, Fran Kirby, Casey Stoney and Leah Williamson.
