Fayose
Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to challenge the victory of Kayode Fayemi in the recently-held Ekiti governorship poll.
Fani-Kayode also urged incumbent Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose to take up the matter at the electoral tribunal.
Fayemi who contested under the All Progressives Congress (APC), was on Sunday declared the winner of the poll that was held Saturday.
However, a tweet on the former Minister’s handle, said the rejection of the election result by observers, is a welcome development.
“Glad to hear that the Coalition of Election Observers have rejected the Ekiti results,” he posted on Twitter. “look forward to hearing the details of their findings which they say they will release on Wednesday.
“I urge @GovAyoFayose and @OfficialPDPNig to take up the matter at the election tribunal.”
