The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commenced screening of 11 aspirants who obtained its kind for the Osun State governorship election scheduled for September 22.
The aspirants are Sen. Akanbi Abdulrasheed, Dr Oyewumi Olaler, Nathaniel Oke, Sen. Ogunwale Felix and Fatai Akinbade.
Others are Dr Ezekiel Adeniji, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, Dr Ayoade Adewepo, Rafiu Bello, Sen. Nurudeen Adeleke and Prof. Adeolu Durotoye.
The Chairman of the Screening Committee, Austin Opara, spoke with the aspirants on the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, and guaranteed that the train could be free, truthful and clear.
He stated: “One factor we need to let you already know is that our party is reformed and we now have a repositioned party, a party that's coming again stronger and prepared to take over governance of this nation.
“It is a course of and it's clear in all that the party is doing, together with the screening that's going down in the present day.
“It goes to be very clear as a result of we wish the perfect for the party and naturally, the perfect for the party is the perfect for the nation.
“We would be transparent and fair to all concerned. At the end, we want the best for our nation.”
