Manchester United take on Tottenham in the Premier League on Monday night with both sides enduring very different starts to the 2018/19 campaign.
Tottenham have had the perfect start to the season, winning both of their opening two games against Newcastle and Fulham. Jose Mourinho's Manchester United, however, hit a snag in their season with an embarrassing 3-2 defeat to Brighton last weekend.
With this current form in mind, here is our combined XI of United and Spurs players ahead of the match at Old Trafford on Monday evening...
1. GK - David De Gea (Manchester United)
Despite being in an erroneous run of form in 2018, David De Gea still makes the cut as the best shot-stopper out of the two sides.
The 27-year-old helped the Red Devils to keep a remarkable figure of 18 clean sheets last season, making 115 saves (only four keepers in the league managed more).
De Gea, who has kept three clean sheets in his last four Premier League home games against Spurs, will be hoping to be an influential figure once again between the sticks on Monday.
2. RWB - Kieran Trippier (Tottenham)
After a remarkable twelve months for club and country, Kieran Trippier is slowly becoming one of the most consistent and talented full-backs in the game.
The 27-year-old's delivery from open play has come along massively, while he has also proven to be a threat from set pieces - best proven during last weekend's victory over Fulham where he opened the scoring with an impressive free-kick.
3. CB - Davinson Sanchez (Tottenham)
Colombian international Davinson Sanchez has had an encouraging first season in north London, making 31 Premier League appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side as they finished third in the table.
After a solid World Cup campaign with his country in Russia, the 22-year-old will be hoping for an even better 2018/19 Premier League season with Spurs.
4. CB - Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham)
Jan Vertonghen is closing in on 250 appearances in a Tottenham shirt, and has always been a reliable figure in Spurs' backline.
The Belgian's progress as a central defender has aligned perfectly with Tottenham's rise up the Premier League table in recent years, and the 31-year-old has formed a solid partnership with fellow countryman Toby Alderweireld in Mauricio Pochettino's side.
Vertonghen has started the current season brightly, scoring his first Premier League goal in five-and-a-half years on the opening day clash against Newcastle.
5. CB - Toby Alderweireld (Tottenham)
Monday will be an interesting game for Toby Alderweireld, who was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
United and Mourinho's considerable interest in the Belgian shows how far the centre-back has come since his Southampton days. Which party will regret not forcing that potential transfer come full-time on Monday?
6. LWB - Ben Davies (Tottenham)
Davies' inclusion in the combined XI completes a full set of Tottenham defenders in the side, displaying how unconvincing the United defence has been as of late.
The Welshman's form in recent seasons has managed to push England international Danny Rose into the peripheries of the Tottenham squad - potentially leading to a departure from the club altogether.
7. CM - Paul Pogba (Manchester United)
Manchester United's hopes of beating Tottenham on Monday rely on which Paul Pogba turns up at Old Trafford.
If it's the Pogba which shone in the World Cup over in Russia during the summer, then they'll be in with a fantastic chance of winning. However, the version of the French midfielder which appeared last season for Mourinho's side could damage their aspirations of victory.
Will Pogba's frosty relationship with Mourinho affect matters on Monday?
8. CM - Christian Eriksen (Tottenham)
On the other hand, Tottenham's chances of victory on Monday also rest on Christian Eriksen's shoulders, as the Danish midfielder often held the spark which inspired Tottenham to a third Champions League qualification in a row.
The 26-year-old found the net 10 times last season in the Premier League - his joint highest total in a Tottenham shirt - and big things are expected of him this season once again.
9. CM - Dele Alli (Tottenham)
Another creative fulcrum in this Spurs' side is Dele Alli, who scored 14 goals in all competitions for Pochettino's side last season.
The former MK Dons midfielder found the net the last time these two sides met, as he opened the scoring in Spurs' 2-1 FA Cup Semi-Final loss to Mourinho's Red Devils. Do not be surprised if Alli scores once again on Monday night.
10. ST - Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United)
One player Tottenham will be fearful of on Monday is Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.
The 25-year-old's pace, strength and clinical shooting will be a worry for Pochettino's side, as the former Everton and Chelsea forward scored 27 goals in all competitions last season for United.
He's finally off the mark for the Red Devils this season having found the net against Brighton last week, can he add to his tally?
11. ST - Harry Kane (Tottenham)
Well of course Harry Kane is included in the combined XI.
The England captain has scored 105 goals in 139 Premier League appearances and is one of the hottest number nine's on the planet.
He does, however, only have one Premier League goal against United, and Kane will be looking to change that figure on Monday night.
