Tottenham Hotspur have been able to boast a fairly successful record of bringing academy prospects through to the first team in recent years, with a number of former Spurs youth products continuing to ply their trade in the Premier League and the rest of the country's top four divisions.
On top of that, the club have seen Harry Kane come through the ranks to become one of the world's most prolific marksmen, while Harry Winks is continuing to establish himself as a big part of Mauricio Pochettino's plans after some big performances over the last couple of seasons.
Here is a look at what a complete starting line up of players who graduated from Spurs' academy could look like...
1. GK - Jordan Archer
Current Club: Millwall
Though Jordan Archer was never able to register a senior appearance in Tottenham colours, the 25-year-old has since gone on to make a name for himself by becoming the firm number one goalkeeping choice for Millwall and has made 135 appearances for the Lions to date.
With Archer's form being rewarded with his first ever international cap for Scotland earlier this year, it would seem that the only way is up for the young stopper and perhaps he will be given the chance to take on his former side with a move to the Premier League in the not too distant future.
2. Adam Smith
Current Club: Bournemouth
Adam Smith's Spurs career more or less amounted to a full UK tour as he was sent around the country on various loans - although he did manage to make a Premier League appearance for the club in 2012 following an injury to Kyle Walker.
Since leaving White Hart Lane to join Bournemouth in 2014, Smith has established himself as a regular for Eddie Howe's side and has played in most games since the Cherries' promotion to the top flight three years ago. Though few academy players have had success at Spurs in recent years, Smith is a great example of how many Tottenham youth products still go on to play at a high level.
3. CB - Cameron Carter-Vickers
Current Club: Swansea City (loan)
Already a regular in the United States national side at just 20 years of age, expectation is still sky-high that centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers will go on to have a successful career.
Having struggled during a loan spell at Sheffield United during the first half of the 2017/18 campaign, Carter-Vickers was recalled by Spurs and loaned to Ipswich where he enjoyed far more success.
This season, the defender has been loaned to Swansea, where he can hopefully learn a lot from playing in manager Graham Potter's possession-based system and become more comfortable as a ball-playing centre-back.
4. CB - Milos Veljkovic
Current Club: Werder Bremen
Serbian defender Veljkovic joined Tottenham's academy from FC Basel as a 16-year-old back in 2011 and went on to become one of the most highly-rated players in the club's youth setup at the time, supposedly being on the verge of breaking through to the senior side prior to his departure in 2016.
Since then, the 22-year-old has become a regular for German side Werder Bremen and has even worked his way into the Serbian national side, appearing at this summer's World Cup and playing against the likes of Brazil.
5. LB - Danny Rose
Current Club: Spurs
Though technically a product of Leeds United's academy, Rose was signed by Spurs as 1 17-year-old back in 2007 and spent time in the youth setup before finally making his first-team debut against rivals Arsenal in 2010.
Since then, Rose has developed into one of the best left-backs in the Premier League on his day, with his blistering form in the 2016/17 season living on in the memory of Spurs fans. The defender has lost his place to Ben Davies in recent times and has been linked with a move away, but Rose is unplayable on his day and many fans will still be wishing for him to recapture that form.
6. CM - Harry Winks
Current Club: Spurs
Though still only 22, Harry Winks is already on his way to becoming a fan favourite at Spurs and would probably be even further along in his development had he not suffered an injury-hit 2017/18 season.
Perhaps the highlight of Winks' Spurs career to date was his commanding performance in an unfamiliar diamond midfield setup as Spurs battled to a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid at the Bernabeu last season.
He may only be young but the midfielder has shown a maturity beyond his years with his cool passing and confident presence on the ball.
7. CM - Nabil Bentaleb
Current Club: Schalke 04
Though some excellent youth products have come through Spurs' academy in recent times, fans will be frustrated that the club allowed Nabil Bentaleb to slip through its fingers.
First given playing time under Tim Sherwood shortly after turning 19, Bentaleb showed signs of being a complete midfielder in the making - competent in both attack and defence with a sprinkling of flair thrown in for good measure. Though this was a dark chapter in the club's history, Bentaleb remained one of the few positives.
Unfortunately, things went downhill quickly after that and the Algerian found himself in and out of the team under the management of Pochettino.
Amid rumours of a serious attitude problem, Bentaleb was loaned to Schalke in 2015 and the German side made his deal permanent the following year.
8. LW - Alex Pritchard
Current Club: Huddersfield Town
For a while, Alex Pritchard seemed destined to be the next big thing at Spurs. With Harry Kane having burst onto the scene in 2014, fans were desperate to find the next player from the academy who would make it big with the club and Pritchard seemed sure to be the best bet.
Unfortunately, things do not always work out as planned. An injury sustained shortly after signing a four-year contract in the summer of 2015 saw Pritchard's first-team opportunity scuppered and the winger ended up joining Norwich City the following summer.
However, the 25-year-old was rewarded for his good work in the Championship 18 months later when he was signed by Premier League new boys Huddersfield - a deserved reward for a talented player.
9. RW - Andros Townsend
Current Club: Crystal Palace
One Spurs academy graduate who did successfully break into the first team setup was winger Andros Townsend, who first earned his chance with the big boys under Andre Villas-Boas and went on to make several appearances for England while still at the club.
Though Townsend was an exciting prospect and delivered some good performances on occasion, the winger never really kicked on as a player at Spurs and became somewhat infamous for his poor decision-making and lack of worthwhile end product.
Nevertheless, Townsend remains a talented player and though he was unable to fulfil Pochettino's desires at Spurs, he was quickly snapped up by Newcastle in 2016 and another Premier League move to Crystal Palace materialised after the Magpies' relegation.
10. ST - Harry Kane
Current Club: Spurs
Perhaps one inclusion in this XI that goes without saying, Kane has been the most successful product of Tottenham's academy in decades and is one of the hottest properties in world football today.
Since breaking into the side in 2014 after a series of loans, Kane has scored an astonishing 142 goals in 216 appearances for Spurs and won the Premier League Golden Boot in 2016 and 2017.
Having also scored 19 goals in 30 appearances for England and been handed the captain's armband at this summer's World Cup, it seems things are only going to get better for Kane and it is hard to believe the striker is still only 25 years of age.
11. ST - Peter Crouch
Current Club: Stoke City
An icon of the British game for over a decade now, Peter Crouch's lanky frame and legendary dance moves will be remembered long after the striker retires.
After graduating from Spurs' academy, Crouch played for a number of clubs including Southampton, Liverpool and Portsmouth before returning to Tottenham in 2009. In
his two years back at White Hart Lane under Redknapp, Crouch earned a place in the hearts of the Spurs faithful by scoring the goal that sealed the club's qualification for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
Having been at Stoke since 2011, Crouch has continued to chip in with a decent return of goals and has shown no signs of stopping even at 37 years of age.
