Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 45-year-old girl recognized as Charity Iyonetu for punishing a 12-year-old boy.

It was gathered that the lady tortured the 12-year-old boy she alleged was possessed as a result of he was expelled from college.

The mother-of-two instructed law enforcement officials that she introduced the boy from her hometown in Ugwuta, Imo state to Lagos when she noticed him wandering the road.

Charity stated when she requested why he isn’t at school, she was instructed that his father deserted him as a result of he was possessed.

She stated, “I noticed him after I travelled residence and noticed that he didn't go to highschool. When I inquired about him from my sister, she stated his father deserted him on the declare that the boy normally brought about issues.

So, I requested if he would include me to Lagos; he stated sure. I introduced him to Lagos and enrolled him in a college.

“But I noticed that generally, one thing would simply enter into him which might make him to begin destroying issues at residence. Also, he runs away from college. And when he comes again from college, he typically sustains accidents.

“On Tuesday before the incident happened, I was told he had been expelled from school. When he got back from school, he tore all his books and said they had expelled him from school.”

Lagos State Commissioner, Imohimi Edgal revealed this arrest on Tuesday, throughout a parade of suspects on the police command headquarters in Ikeja.

He stated: “The ordeal of the little boy got here to the fore when on May 9, 2018, round 9am, the suspect used horsewhip to flog the kid, inflicting accidents throughout his physique. She thereafter locked him in her one-room house along with his two palms tied behind his again and left for her store.

“The boy cried and shouted for help which made one Peter Aluku to call the police. When the police team arrived, they broke the door of the house and rescued the child.”

He revealed that Charity could be charged to the Special and S3xual Offences Court as quickly as investigations on the matter was concluded.
