A Police Corporal, Mr. Ali Christopher, who allegedly killed two nursing mothers at a funeral in Fugar town, the administrative headquarters of Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State in June, has been dismissed from the Force.

Based on what was gathered, his dismissal from the Nigeria Police Force was sequel to the Orderly Room Trial conducted by the Edo State Police Command which found him culpable.

Reports had it that at the time of his dismissal from the Police, Corporal Ali Christopher with enlistment No. 444040 was attached to the area Commander’s office, Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area.

Edo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Stephen Onwochei who confirmed his dismissal on Tuesday stated that the case was thoroughly dealt with, adding that two police officers were arrested at the end of investigations while one officer was found to be culpable.

“The one found culpable has been tried in Orderly room, he is a corporal, and as I speak with you he has been dismissed. Hopefully by next week he shall appear in court,” the PPRO stated.

He however advised police officers to be guided by Force Order 237 which spelt out the use of arms by officers just as he equally appealed to members of the public to always keep a reasonable distance from any officer bearing arms.
