Inspector General Of Police, Ibrahim Idris
The Nigeria Police have requested the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to reply to them in writing inside 48 hours, barely 24 hours after they requested him to look in individual.
This was made identified by the Senate president.
The Police had summoned him for questioning over his alleged relationship with suspects arrested in reference to the bank theft in Offa not too long ago.
He was directed to report back to the Force Intelligence Response Team workplace at Guzape, Abuja, to reply to the allegations.
The Senate President had earlier on Monday mentioned he was prepared to honour the police invitation prolonged to him.
“Following my earlier tweet, I have received the letter from @PoliceNG,” he posted on Twitter.
“They are no longer asking me to appear at any station but to respond in writing to the allegations within 48 hours which I plan to do.”
